Upgrading your Figma Weave AI tier allows your design team to unlock expanded monthly generation quotas, faster processing times, and advanced AI styling controls. Because Figma Weave seat allocations tie directly to your team billing settings, completing an upgrade requires administrative access to your workspace.
This independent guide from Figma Weave Support walks you through changing your plan and resolving payment issues during the process.
Quick checks
- Verify admin permissions: Only Workspace Admins or Team Owners can alter billing plans and add Weave AI licenses.
- Check active team account: Confirm you are logged into the exact Figma organization where you want to apply the upgraded tier.
- Review stored card details: Ensure your organization's payment method is valid and has sufficient credit.
- Open Organization Settings
Navigate to the main workspace file browser, click your team profile icon in the top-left corner, and select Admin console or Settings.
- Navigate to Billing & Add-ons
Select the Billing tab. Look for the Figma Weave AI add-on section under your active seat subscription overview.
- Select your new tier or seat count
Click Change Plan or Add Seats. Choose the higher usage tier or assign additional full AI licenses to team members who require generation access.
- Confirm payment and checkout
Review the prorated charge for the remaining billing period. Click Update Subscription to submit payment. If your card rejects the transaction, consult our Figma Weave billing error guide.
- Relaunch the editor session
Once payment completes, ask team members to close and reopen their open design files. If updated features still do not appear in the interface, follow our steps for Figma Weave missing in Figma to clear cached session state.
Still stuck?
If your payment cleared but your account settings show an unpaid status or your tier limits remain unchanged, clear your browser cache or log out of Figma completely. If issues persist, submit a billing inquiry through your Figma account dashboard with your invoice transaction ID.
