figma weave generation stuck at 99 percent fix

Fix Figma Weave design generations hanging at 99 percent completion with these quick troubleshooting steps.

When a Figma Weave generation progress bar freezes at 99%, the cloud AI model has successfully processed your request, but your client application is failing to write the generated vector nodes onto the canvas. Figma Weave Support is an independent troubleshooting guide and is not affiliated with Figma.

Quick checks

  • Check your canvas memory usage under Plugins > Development > Show Memory Usage.
  • Ensure the destination frame or canvas section is unlocked and editable.
  • Make sure your account has not suffered from a recent Figma Weave billing error that restricted account tokens midway through processing.
  1. Force a canvas redraw by panning or zooming

Sometimes the output vector data is already generated on the server, but the Figma canvas engine hasn't triggered a graphical refresh. Zoom out to 10% and back in to 100%, or toggle layer visibility in the left sidebar to force the canvas to redraw.

  1. Duplicate the destination page

High canvas memory loads can block Weave from injecting complex frame hierarchies at the final step. Right-click your active canvas tab in the sidebar, select Duplicate Page, switch to the new page, and attempt the generation prompt again.

  1. Disable heavy canvas background plugins

Background plugins running automated design linters or real-time sync tools can conflict with Weave's final layer mounting process. Temporarily close active plugin panels before starting a new design generation.

  1. Reset the Weave plugin panel thread

Right-click anywhere on the canvas, select Plugins, and re-open Figma Weave to force a fresh session instance without losing your canvas setup.

Still stuck?

If generation bars repeatedly freeze right before completion, verify whether Figma Weave is missing in Figma or if underlying network sockets are being blocked by corporate firewalls or active VPN connections.
