A frequent generation issue occurs when Figma Weave renders UI components, icons, or illustrations as flattened raster images (PNGs/JPEGs) instead of structured, editable Figma vector layers and text blocks. This usually stems from fallback engine settings, unsupported vector library connections, or widget context errors.

  1. Enforce Vector Directives in Prompt Text

When crafting prompts, explicitly command Weave to use native Figma shapes and auto layout components. Example instruction: `Generate a responsive UI form using editable Figma vector shapes, auto layout containers, and live text layers. Do not rasterize elements.`

  1. Disconnect Incompatible Icon Plugins

If Weave attempts to retrieve third-party raster icons during generation, it may fallback to outputting flat image nodes. Temporarily disable external icon library plugins before prompting.

  1. Switch Off Image Fallback Rendering

Open Weave Generation Settings from the panel gear menu. Locate the Asset Rendering section and toggle Prefer Native Vectors to active.

  1. Check Text Font Availability

If Weave cannot map missing custom fonts required for text layers, it may flatten entire layout blocks into static image fallbacks. Stick to standard Google Fonts or local fonts available in your system library.

  1. Re-anchor Active Library Tokens

Ensure your team library is properly published and connected. If Weave loses token references mid-stream, it defaults to quick raster output approximations.
