Figma Weave outage: how to check live status
What a Figma Weave outage actually looks like, which signals are reliable, and how long recovery normally takes.

What an outage looks like
Genuine Figma Weave outages have a recognisable signature:
- Generations queue but never start.
- The Weave panel shows a generic "something went wrong" message.
- The rest of the Figma editor keeps working normally.
If the whole editor is unresponsive, that is a Figma platform problem rather than a Weave problem — different systems, different recovery time.
Signals worth trusting
| Signal | Reliability |
|---|---|
| Our live status reading | High |
| Reproduction in a clean browser profile | High |
| Social posts from other designers | Medium |
| A single failed generation | Low |
Recovery expectations
Most degraded-performance windows resolve within an hour, and queued jobs usually drain automatically. A full generation outage tends to run longer because backlogged jobs must be processed before new prompts start moving.
After the outage
Reload the file rather than resuming the old tab. Stale websocket sessions are the most common reason Weave still looks broken after a service has recovered.
